Objectives
After attending this activity, the participants will be able to:
-Understand the limitations of practicing medicine in austere environments.
-Adequately prepare for practicing medicine in austere environments.
-Recognize and treat common injuries and illnesses that occur in the wilderness.
Target Audience
- Medical professionals who have an interest in providing medical care in “remote” environments such as wilderness settings or in developing countries are encouraged to attend.
- Medical professionals counseling their patients traveling to remote areas will benefit as well.

The American Association of Physician Assistants accepts Category 1 CME approval from organizations accredited by the ACCME.
