Round Table Info Welcome to the Student Round Table information page! The Student Round Table is the stage where students and faculty meet to talk about student issues in the field of wilderness medicine. The Round Table is a series of student and faculty led sessions in which students discuss topics such as careers in wilderness medicine, research in the field, how to plan wilderness medicine events and lectures on your own campus, and how to become more involved with student interest groups on a national level.
The Student Round Tables often also include hands-on sessions in search and rescue techniques, wilderness first aid, and wilderness survival skills. The Round Table always coincides with the WMS Annual Summer and Winter conferences and allows students to attend the WMS educational conferences while also personally interacting with both students from other student interest groups and faculty who are at the frontier of the wilderness medicine field. The Round Table is an invaluable way for students to learn more about wilderness medicine and to network with the top leaders in the field.
