WMS has always had a commitment to research and education through its publications and conferences. From our flagship peer-reviewed journal, Wilderness & Environmental Medicine, to the informative Wilderness Medicine magazine, to the unparalleled Practice Guidelines for Emergency Care, and a multi-topic educational lecture series, the Society is dedicated to providing the most up-to-date information regarding wilderness medicine topics.

Please Note: Wilderness & Environmental Medicine (WEM) journal will be moving Elsevier Publishing beginning with Volume 21.1. All new manuscripts should be uploaded to our Elsevier web address http://ees.elsevier.com/wemj; new manuscripts will be reviewed and tracked on that website. No new manuscripts are being accepted on the AllenTrack website..

Manuscripts that are already in the AllenTrack manuscript tracking program at  http://wem.allentrack.net, will continue to be tracked and reviewed on that website through the end of the year.
