Linda Keyes, MD, FACEP
Since 1991 when Linda convinced her medical school dean to send her to Whistler for a WMS conference she has been scheming ways to combine medicine, research, and outdoor adventure. She began studying pregnancy at high-altitude as a medical student and completed a research fellowship on this topic after residency. In addition to pregnancy, Linda’s high-altitude research experience and interests include the pathophysiology and prevention of acute mountain sickness, and the dangers of carbon monoxide in snow caves. She worked as a volunteer physician at the Himalaya Rescue Association clinic in Pheriche, Nepal and served for several years as co-physician advisor for Rocky Mountain Rescue Group in Boulder, CO. She is a member of the
Wilderness & Environmental Medicine Editorial Board and an Associate Clinical Professor at University of Colorado. When she is not playing outside with her family, she practices emergency medicine near Denver.

Robert Mabry
MAJ Mabry enlisted in the US Army in 1984. Before attending medical school he served for 11 years as a US Army Ranger and Special Forces Medical Sergeant. He is also a paramedic, diving medical technician, high angle rescue instructor, and flight surgeon. He served as the senior search and rescue medic for Task Force Ranger in Mogadishu, Afghanistan.
